Fur Motion Blur
I'm using H16.5 and Octane 3.08.1.0_Houdini_16.5.439_Win64.
Can't get Motion Blur working at all.
Checked it on in the ROP settings.
Motion Blur works fine for every other object but not fur.
Do I need to feed velocity attribute into the hairgen node?
Any thoughts?
Thank you.

Hello,
I'm particularly eager for the Tone Mapping feature and implementing LUT workflow released in the next version.
Can you estimate when this will be please?
Thank you

Will the next update for Houdini include custom LUT support in tone-mapping. This would be very useful.

Re: Light Projection Image Sequences
Thank you for looking into this.
Unfortunately I can't position an image correctly. It skews the image no matter how I rotate the light source. Pointing a light source 90 degrees at a surface does give the correct projection basically.
Also I'd like to use the color of the image, currently it's ...

Light Projection Image Sequences
How can achieve this in Houdini and Octane?

I'd like the image to be a sequence too.
thanks

Yes but how do I randomize materials on these instanced points?
thanks

POP multiple Instances
Hello,
I have a particle simulation that needs 10 different instances randomly applied to the particles.
How do you apply multiple geo and materials to instances?
thank you

Adaptive Sampling
I have a scene with heavy depth of field. There is a lot of the frame which is a flat shaded surface, and a few bright highlights that have Bokeh'd out. There is noise in DOF as expected.
I've tried all of the variations with Adaptive Sampling turned on to help Octane focus just the DOF areas. I ...

Re: Instance Geo on particles
Followed the manual online and figured it out.
Attribute create, called it Instance, made it a string and pointed to the geo.
I thought that the latest version of Octane would do this automatically using copytopoint node, without having to use an attribute create?
thanks
