Light bulb
Hi!
Does anybody know how to reproduce this in 3ds max Octane:
https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45873
Moreover - the task is more complex. The example above is about visual effect - the lamp doesn't actually light anything in the scene.
I need to use that bunch of bulbs as ...

Re: Backburner and network rendering
Hi Paride,
Thanks for explanation and help!
Still looking forward for backburner solution with use of network graphics cards. Or anything else working that way.

Andrew

Re: Backburner and network rendering
Hi Paride,
Thanks for reply!
As request it would be really great to have solution from Otoy for Backburner use. The way it works in Cinema 4D - Octane plugin uses native instrument for render queue with support of Network rendering.
Batch render is ok for stills but it's a pain for sequences and ...

Re: Backburner and network rendering
We use up to 6 computers for rendering with Octane license. Each runs only one graphic card on board.

Re: Backburner and network rendering
Hi Paride,
The configuration is not something exceptional:
Workstations in local network with Dual Xeon X5660, 48 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Black 6GB

Re: Backburner and network rendering
So there's no way except batch rendering to send several scenes to render using the same host computer?

Re: Backburner and network rendering
Hi paride4331,
Daemon version is the same with main Octane core.
Octane network works well in Octane window, in rendering directly from 3ds max and in rendering from batch file. As I got it right Backburner is just an interface for batch rendering. But using it network rendering doesn't work. How ...

Backburner and network rendering
Does anyone have solution for using Backburner and network rendering feature together in current version of Octane plugin (3.05.3 - 4.30)?
It appears really strange - option works well in render from batch file and doesn't work at all in Backburner. Frankly speaking, it's annoying to compile batch ...

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v3.05 - 4.30 [STABLE]
Hi!
Thanks for release and update.
It might be feature not issue, but... It's highly needed for the current work.
Octane Camera correction doesn't work in max viewport while it's ok in render and octane viewports.
And original 3ds max camera correction doesn't work at all in octane window.
So it ...
