Re: Version 4.0- XB4-test1 (Experimental)
Hello all! I'm having lots of issues with this version, mainly with render settings being switched to Infochannels randomly plus in general the settings are being reset constantly. Can I save new default render settings? Also seems like the denoiser doesn't work for me, if I try to render to PV it ...

Re: 750W enough for 980ti+1080ti?
More important is how many GPU power cables you have on a PSU. 1200W is enough for 4 gpus, but I always say get 1600W for lower relative load and quiet operation. 1600W EVGA P2 o T2 are top notch - very hard to get today.

Re: 750W enough for 980ti+1080ti?
Thanks! I'm also pondering to upgrade to a 3x gpu setup, either 3x980ti or mixed with one or two 1080tis - in that case a 1200W PSU would be sufficient, right?smicha wrote:Enough. But no more than that.

750W enough for 980ti+1080ti?
Hey all,
I'm thinking about adding a 1080ti to my workstation, I'm using a 980ti for now and it seems like adding a second card is just on the edge of what my Corsair CX750M PSU can handle? I'm mainly using the machine for Octane rendering, but also sometimes particle simulations and occasional ...

Re: Noisy results with using other shaders in Environment Tag
Thanks for the answers!
@beppe Yes I see - I understand that I can use Environments with visibility only, but what I want to achieve is what you have in your second example. To for example mix color into the HDRI and use that as the primary environment. So your second example does break Important ...

Noisy results with using other shaders in Environment Tag
Hello all,
Don't know if this is a common mistake I'm doing (with an easy fix?) but if I combine my HDRI with for example a Color Correction or Mix shader in my Sky/Environment Tag everything instantly gets much more grainy. I often want to do some color correction on my HDRI or add a bit of color ...
