Re: Cinema4D version 2020.1 (Stable release) 27.04.2020
You can fire up one of the heavier scenes that come with c4d, delete all the materials and place a light source in there. That should net you a sizeable increase, if it indeed works :)
RTX appears to be most beneficial when you have a lot of objects or even better a lot of dense objects. If you ...

RTX performance is not directly related with plugin, it's up to core. Also there's not a rule as every scene will show a performance boost. My advice for you trying different scenes and also provide some scenes to us, I'll ping core team to invistage for possible improvements.

Re: Cinema4D version 2020.1 (Stable release) 27.04.2020
So I am seeing absolutely no performance increase between RTX on and off with a single RTX 2080 Super inside cinema 4d. Installed the latest studio driver 442.92. I have c4d r21 version 21.207. I have tried loading a few old scenes as well as making new ones and whether its on or off under device ...

Re: C4D Node editor issues
So after getting back to the issue I have found it is on both of my machines. It definitely happened when C4d ran the most recent updates. In the video you posted was that r18 or r17? I am running r17.
Scratch that. Back tracked the plug in and it fixed my issue.

Re: C4D Node editor issues
I will try that and report back. When I do what you did in your video it does not change in the node editor area.

Re: C4D Node editor issues
In the material editor it changes for me just like it should. It's only when I go to the node editor that I see the issue. the link is for a scene file that has one of each put on a Sphere.

Re: C4D Node editor issues
No luck opening and closing the Node Editor. It also persists even if i do a full system restart. Nothing I do seems to make it start working. I have even tried making a new project and the issues persists in the new project as well.

C4D Node editor issues
So I am having a weird issue with the node editor. When I change A material to glossy or spectacular it does not show the additional attributes in the node editor. Anyone have this issue before? Am I missing something simple? Never had this happen before.
