That's a lot of lights in a scene. You will need to be crafty with it.

Use Path Tracing instead of Direct Lighting.

The smaller the lights, the noiser and harder it is to render. Increase the size of your lights to something that you would expect to be a bit bigger than the light source ...

I've experienced this before. Here are a few tips:

First, these scans aren't meant to be stretched 50 cm in height. You will inevitably get stepping. I'm guessing you were doing that in your example to really highlight the stepping. Displacement (especially when coming from a bitmap) is pixel based ...

I'm having some issues with Octane attempting to connect multiple closed splines when using hair on a connect object.

Setting geometry control to All Objects Movable and adding Object tags on the displaced objects worked.

when you say default settings, do you mean that i shouldn't use render passes?

Displacement maps are not working for renders in Picture Viewer / Render Queue. Works in Live Viewer. Any thoughts?

Example file attached. One thing to take into consideration for anyone recreating this, you need to set the transform of the Letters on your MoText to either White or Black and the Color in your Plain Parameter to the opposite.

It doesn't supported yet. I'm looking to that. Let's see how easy to add or not possible atm.

I don't have Substance so i can't provide an example but you can find the Emission channel under the Diffuse material type (not available with Glossy or Specular). You can then use a Texture Emission and from there add your texture.
