Same here, did a quick test (with 3.07 stable) and it seems to be working.

Re: Animated lights with motion blur not working correctly
We are dealing with lots of small lights with a throw of 100m or more, in specific patterns as specified by our client. We already have control rigs etc set up and lights behave 'better' at long distance. We are just able to get the right exposure and light patterns easier with lights than emitters ...

Re: Animated lights with motion blur not working correctly
Hi Aoktar, it works as expected in standalone, is that a limitation in C4D or something?
Emission doesn't give the control we need - and changing to standalone a huge pain in our workflow.

Animated lights with motion blur not working correctly
We are currently creating night-time scenes with vehicles moving fast - about 100kph, and seem to have found an issue with animated octane lights and motion blur.
Basically, the lights seem to behave the opposite of everything else.
When the camera is static but the vehicle is moving, the lights ...

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone 3.08 TEST 6 [latest 3.xx]
I just updated from 3.07 test 6 to 3.08 test 6 and I'm having an issue with one particular material I'm trying to use. The material is a fabric created with a mix material, diffuse, falloff, jpgs, displacement and color corrections. When I turn on Network Rendering the material starts off with the ...

Re: Version 3.08-test6 (TEST VERSION)
Looks like there's a bug with mixtextures. Try putting a mixtexture into the diffuse, put it on an object, and send over with an octane sky (no need for hdr). It does some weird stuff especially when you toss in a dirt shader as the mix amount. Renders half and/or quarters of the image wrong.

Re: Automatically close failed slave?
Just to confirm, it still happens in 3.07.

During this test, none of the slaves even reported an error of any kind. And you can see, Octane estimates it is 6 seconds from finishing the frame, but the C4D clock is 8 minutes over that. As soon as I unticked ...

Re: Automatically close failed slave?
James, I just noticed that you are using version 3.06. Could you (when you've got time) update to version 3.07 to see if the problem is gone. I don't think that the update will solve your problem, but it's worth a try. Thanks.

Re: Automatically close failed slave?
I've managed to make a scene that uses just a bit too much memory for the 6gb cards and this does reproduce the error - but not consistently.
Most of the time the slaves fail and the render continues, but sometimes - like in this screenshot - the render gets stuck.

Automatically close failed slave?
Hi, I'm not sure if this is specific to Cinema or to Octane in general, but we are finding that quite often a slave will crash at some point during rendering animations in the Picture Viewer, and the frame will then never complete. As soon as the crashed slave is removed, the frame completes and ...
