That would be great! I know the C4D environment uses something like this.paride4331 wrote:Hi guys,
I will try to ask to developers to add something like 3dsMax volume fog.

Camera Visibility Settings
Hi there!
I was trying to figure out how to turn off camera visibility for certain objects in a scene. For example, I have a flame simulation baked out to VDB. To get the proper level of brightness on the flame itself, I have to turn the emission down quite a bit. This however makes the emitted ...

Re: Baking Textures with Two Meshes
Hi ianvalentine,
you should use diffuse filter material pass; in Octane 3dsMax is "diffuse filter (info)".

Hey Paride,
Wow this looks like exactly what I want, just to confirm, this method works even if the emissive mesh is separate from the mesh being baked? I am having some ...

Baking Textures with Two Meshes
Hi there!
I have a question that I can't quite work out myself and wanted to see if anyone here had any input. I have a mesh in my scene that I am doing texture baking on to generate some unwrapped image sequences. This mesh has properly layed out UVs and looks correct in the render. However, I ...

Re: Utilizing vertex color in a mesh
HI ianvalentine,
Vertex color is not supported, I do not think there is any other way than a baking at this time.
I will ask developers if it is possible to implement the 3dsMax vertex color with Octane.

Ahh, very good to know. It would be really excellent to have access to this ...

Utilizing vertex color in a mesh
Hello there,
I had previously seen this feature was not supported, but I was curious if it was possible to access the color attribute of an imported mesh (for example an Alembic file output from Houdini) within Octane? I'd like to use this for coloring fluid meshes more easily, as baking a texture ...
