Hi again,
can you tell me please, which is the latest Houdini 17.5-Build compatible with the 4.0 plugin?

I tried the latest one and it does not seem to work.
Can you confirm this and or possibly make it compatible?

I was writing about an offline licensing mode without dongle.
Last time avaiable in 3.08 release I think.

Hi everyone!

I also the need for an offline licensing mode back.
That dongle method is very 90s.

Also, Octane wasn't pirated before Version 3.08,
when offline mode was still available.

Hello and congrats on the increased development speed!

I have to agree with many of the previous customers comments though.
I too feel quite disappointed about the short blip that Octane 4 was on the time line.
The quick switch to new version names seems just like an arbitrary excuse to introduce ...

Hello Joanjo and Blobbybarack,

thank you for you suggestions.
I append the env. file.
As you can see I don t set variables for the Gamedevelper Toolkit there.
I use the houdini version that is specified in the plugins folder name.

The behaviour is kind of weird, because the Octane IPR shelf loads ...

Hello Joanjo,

there is a problem with the intallation of this release.
The shelf is empty and the octane "about" menu shows nothing,
although the menu buttons are there.

I install on linux for the specified 16.0 houdini.
The previous plugin releases worked just fine.

I don`t have the insight to know about the effort of implementation
and was suspecting you did it on purpose for testing the reactions of users.
I will be very happy when the offline licensing will be integrate in current builds again.
