Is it possible to set off a network render to the Picture Viewer, but disable the use of the local GPU?

I want to have a scene rendering on my two networked machines but keep the GPU on my local free to keep working.

As someone who has never used Standalone, but uses the plugin for C4D daily, I'm also interested in this.

Can anyone explain how ORC will work for plugin users? Can I upload a .C4D scene for example?
