Bumping this.
For many jobs, not being able to use the denoiser on light passes is an absolute dealbreaker.
Even for renders which aren't very noisy in the beauty, the sunlight pass especially comes out very noisy and needs cleanup.
It's completely unusable in comp because of this.

Scandinavian Kitchen - First photorealistic interior
Hi!
Some of you might have seen this on Reddit already, but I wanted to post here too.
This is my first photorealistic interior render, heavily inspired by the kind of interior design I'm used to back home.
Modeled in Cinema 4D, Textured using Photoshop and rendered using Octane V4.02.1-R3 and the ...

Re: Denoised pass not using imager settings
Update:
The render settings had been corrupted while updating C4D + Octane, and multipass settings had been reset to default.
The problem wasn't the imager, the problem was that the multipass were saved as linear instead of tonemapped.
Sorry Aoktar, and thank you from our studio for another great ...

Re: Denoised pass not using imager settings
If you use camera imager then you should use denoising from this imager. We wrote details in help manual, did you checked?
I've read through it, but can't find anything that provides a solution. Sorry if i'm missing something obvious.

Denoised pass not using imager settings
Hi!
I think I've looked through all the relevant settings and documentation, but I still can't figure this out.
I want the denoised pass to use the imager settings from the camera . (highlight reduction, LUT, exposure, etc)
Is this possible?
The new denoiser is amazing, as is V4. But if i can't ...

Good point! I only use square image sizes for fisheyes. Here's a new version that should fix the distortion.

Re: Fisheye OSL lens
Hi,
That's straight forward enough... Here's an updated camera with a pin for cropping. It defaults to not cropped, but you can make it crop by attaching an integer of value 1 to this input.
I've set it up so that we reach full field of view at the mid points of the edge of frame. This means the ...

Re: Fisheye OSL lens
Hi!
I'm currently doing RnD for a project, and I stumbled upon this great OSL camera.
However, we'd need full-frame coverage. Is there a way to modify this so that we can crop the image directly in the script and avoid the black parts?

Re: Laser on specular material
Have you tried applying roughness to the specular material?
My guess is that since it refracts the light perfectly, there are no imperfections to "catch" the laser and make it visible to the camera.
