Re: How do i render Tracer object with C4D hair shader controls?

the idea came from seeing this control in Redshift. Rendertime splines is the only way to handle this efficiently with many particles
I'll add something like that if there's not really a way to convert tracer data to hairs

I was wondering if anything became of this -- I'm trying to do ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2025.2.1 - v1.6.1 Hotfix

would it be possible to move back to including the download link to the network render node installer with each version posting?
It's difficult to track down the link to the correct network render node installer, matching the version posted

Re: Cinema4D version 2025.2.1 - v1.6.1 Hotfix

Hi Bepe,

would it be possible to always post a link to the corresponding render client when posting new vresions? It would be a much appreciated QoL addition. :)

I second this, now that the link is not included in the maxon c4d downloads posting, I am having a hard time figure out how to ...

Gaussian Splat Support

How far do you think we are from seeing Gaussian Splat support for C4D?
I'm excited to try it!

Re: Stability issues with Studio Nvidia driver 555.85

I've been really having to troubleshoot the heck out of getting my computers to render, I have had no idea what is going on...
The would render with the normal Maxon One license in the software, then not render via command line ; just pause with no crash or hints in the log or anything.

I finally ...

Scene scale effect on noise resolution

I accidentally began my scene at the wrong scale (100x too large)
But, it lead me to an interesting discovery... scene scale has an effect on material noise resolution? (Octane noise, not c4d Noise)
I had built a really nice material (below) where I liked the detail and could to some tight macro ...

"check material updates" IS ticked on, Just FYI

It is essentially functioning as if that is ticked off

Live viewer not auto-updating for material changes?

Live viewer not auto-updating for material changes (modifications made on materials are not reflected in the Live Viewer until pressing send scene/update)
Cinema4D version 2023.1-[R5]

This was not happening for me in older releases, I have tried multiple of the revisions for 2023.1 but this seems ...

Animate across W Coordinate for spline?

Trying to animate lights across a spline (hair render enabled on spline), using w coordinate and gradient -- typically what I do (without w coordinate) is just animate the uvw transform to shift/scale the gradient. Sadly with w coordinate... scaling doesn't seem to work -- unless there is a way to ...

Re: Which feature do you need the most?

Something that has been #1 on my wish-list for a long time... is an alpha channel / matte for the reflection pass when using 'render layer'.

Essentially (particularly on light-colored backgrounds) setting the reflection to 'add blend mode' is not enough. Part of the compositing is obscuring other ...
