Here's a video showing the first case:

Here's a video showing the second case where adding a texture environment seems to prevent the crash, but then deleting the environment causes a crash:

Re: Crash in liboctane.dylib
Following up, if I add an OctaneSky (Texture Environment) to a new project in Cinema 4D, open up the Octane Settings and then open up the Octane Live Viewer, no crash happens.
But, the second I delete the OctaneSky it will cause a crash.

Re: Crash in liboctane.dylib
Strangely, I have a huge project in Cinema4D that uses octane without a problem. It just seems to be creating new projects and turning on Octane that crashes.

- Open Octane Live Render window
- Add an object
- Move the viewport
- Crash
My system:
- OSX Sierra 10.12.1
- 64 GB of RAM
- GTX Geforce 980ti
- Cinema 4D R18.057
- Start Cinema4D
