You're using mismatching custom build and server versions. Be sure to downloa dthe right blender and server installers and install using the proposed folders names (which now specify the version number for both Blender and Server).

I wanted to test out Octane in Blender, to se if it could work in our pipeline. But after installing the Prime edition (BlenderOctane and Server), I press Blender Octane Edition in Windows Start Menu and Blender 4 starts up (is that correct?).
And I activate the plugin in AddOns, and select Octane ...

Is there a way to utilize other computers on the network (LAN) for distributed rendering with the Blender for Octane version?

Great to hear, I use that with Cycles today and I like it. Am coming from other packages where saving Octane materials has not worked natively, so that's why I was asking.

It was Takes that messed it up for me.

Can't change any settings inside the HDRI Environment settings, everything is greyed out. The same if I create a new one. Works if I create a new file, so it is scene specific.
