Yes i saw, it use a grayscale gradient and then a lookup to apply colors gradient.
i don't understand why a vector3 uvw can't be transfer to vector3 rgb ?
It will be a futur update or it will never append ?

i come take some news about some : Get Attributes node in the vopnet = node for dreamers ^^
I see a trick with UV but it's only works with particules not mesh.

Hi,
I try to recreate the same template scene from C4D to Houdini.
I render with Panoramic Camera and i crop the part i need. For faster result i use Region Rendering.
But i can't find this option in Houdini / Shop / RenderTarget / Main (it's when this option is in Octane Standolone and C4D)

C4D Scatter with Boolean
Hi,
I use C4D R17 with Octane 3 with 980ti
C4D boolean works fine with Octane.
But when i drop the Boolean in Octane Scatter, it stop doing his job.
Take a look :

We can't Upload a C4D scene to help you ?

Interesting setup.
I don't know why my render viewport is black when i try your bench scene.
Question:
It is the same process than bake a mirror ball ?
If you use a mesh like my picture in attachement (sphere 210 degree with uv map equidistant)
this will work too ?

Yes +1 for the Fisheye Camera Lens.
And not limited to 180.
Now i work for the SAT Montreal, and they have a Fulldome at 210 degree.
and i render as spherical and crop with Ae Skybox Converter.
Vray, Arnold redshift.. have this feature...
