It happens randomly when I open the octane viewport or render an animation.

new texture displacement v2026
Hi,
The new displacement node (v2026.1) supports procedural textures without requiring a texture baking node. The Mesh UV Projection node must be used in the Projection slot. Alternatively, to use a standard procedural node, it needs to be loaded into a grayscale image.

Re: Layered Material - Diffraction Grating
Hi ramone163,
I don’t think I fully understand the issue with the two variants. Could you help me understand it better?
I didn’t quite understand if you’re asking about something like the use of material layers.

Paride

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v2025.4 - 16.10
There is a bug with motion blur.
The camera is attached to the moving sphere, but the sphere is getting motion blur as if it were passing by a stationary camera.
The scene is attached.
It should be the opposite — the background should have motion blur because both the camera and the sphere are ...

Hi jonnylynn,
In Octane v2026, you’ll get native OpenBPR support, along with the already available MaterialX and the standard surface material shader (Arnold).
