Re: Cinema4D version 2025.2.1 - v1.6.1 Hotfix

Just checking, is particle motion blur broken again?

Specifically - x-particles. I'm getting some super weird results. Super basic scene just rendering the default particle emitter. It will render random amounts of frames and then stop. You can see in the screenshot attached the particle system is ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2025.2 - v1.5.1

Getting crashes when adding multiple objects to the particle rendering tab. Also when it occasionally doesn't crash it will only render the first object in the tab and not cycle through the objects.

Unless I've missed something with how the particles now work.

Scene attached.

Re: Cinema4D version 2025.1 Build 0104

Absolutely. Fixing XP motion blur should be a top priority. On the bright side it's forced me to learn Redshift.

YES… oh totally YES.. XP blur is a big issue…! - i feel ya there.

Hello,

Octane has been problematic for quite a few months now when using motion blur with XP. Unfortunately, the ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2024.1.2-R4 Build 0103

Just checking, was animated texture 'start offset' removed or never available in octane? It seems like a small feature and would be greatly useful to have like in Redshift.

Re: Different UV Sets

Hey guys,

Just trying to find out whether octane now supports multiple UV sets in Cinema 4d. Apparently Cinema 4D can now support multiple UVs, at least with Redshift (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXEF-yVYg5Q). I would love to know whether the functionality from that youtube link is available ...

Re: Cinema4D version 2022.1.1-R5 (Latest stable) 12.05.2023

Hey Ahmet,

R5 now doesn't render all my EXR passes - just denoise.

I have cryptomatte, zdepth and post checked but they just aren't coming through on the EXR file. When I revert to R4 all the passes are available again.

Cheers,

Re: Cinema4D version 2022.1-XB1-(R3) (Experimental) 02.06.2022

exactly the same problem here, as soon as render aov is checked, no render is saved.
It may be a fixed problem after XB1 releases. Check this build for the issue. Note that it's not ready for release. I'll make it available after completing a few new nodes.

Re: Cinema4D version 2022.1-XB1-(R3) (Experimental) 02.06.2022

Thanks. Could you do me a favour and check the actual output directory to see if the EXR files are actually saving?

I can get files to render in picture viewer (and I have disabled cinema 4d saves, and disabled c4d multi-pass image etc etc) but it will not save the actual exr files to disk from ...
