Re: Octane v3 baked maps & UE4
It sounds like you're describing the Sequencer functionality I mentioned above, in which case it's something we'd like to do and under most circumstances should look good. You wouldn't need to make a blueprint for this, you'd just set up your animation and start rendering out. I'll definitely let ...

Re: Octane v3 baked maps & UE4
Just having the material ID isn't enough unfortunately, you also need the results of the material which can look like this: https://i.imgur.com/XEmyORc.png
So while it'd be possible to fetch the texture samples assigned to a material (pretty easily too) what the shader actually does with them can ...

Re: Octane v3 baked maps & UE4
This feature exists although at the moment but due to how we capture materials it's not as high quality a result as other plugins, but it's very close. The plan was to add an option in the future to render from Matinee/Sequencer using Octane. I've been using it as a mini-viewport but if there's any ...

Try configuring your material like this: http://imgur.com/a/Ga8sC
If you've already unwrapped your UVs (which you probably have) then you should use the first channel for your lighting UVs, but it's a good option to separate out your lighting UVs and your texture UVs so you can do repeating diffuse ...

Re: Octane render + Unreal 4
Niiiice!
I have question for Octane developers is it possible to render in one pass only shadows and lights with transparent background?
So when I import to Unreal I could mix baked shadows+light with regular texture, because for floor or carpet that you saw in video I needed to bake floor, carpet ...

Re: Octane v3 baked maps & UE4
Hi Ristoraven! You're absolutely right. That's similar to the workflow I use as well. Fortunately Octane in UE doesn't mind where you got your assets from as long as they're suitable for a game engine scene.
