Re: Octane X for Mac with AMD!!!
I mean it HAS to be better than the current Mac version, which is hands-down the must unreliable software I have ever used, and I've been using 3D packages since Infini-D and Strata Studio were a thing. Mac Octane is just an absolute mess. Otoy need to completely over-deliver and make Octane X a ...

Re: Octane X for Mac with AMD!!!
Am I correct in thinking the Metal version has been re-written from the ground up? I would hope that this version is a lot more stable than the previous Mac releases, I eventually gave up and let my subscription expire because of the horrific instability and amount of time I spent troubleshooting. I ...

Re: Which Nvidia driver/CUDA version for OSX?
Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone else searches for this issue - setting GPU Priority to LOW as per Beppe's suggestion has solved my probelm with Octane crashing. Been using it all week and not had a single crash or beachball. Octane's output is just beautiful to me, glad I stuck with ...

Re: Which Nvidia driver/CUDA version for OSX?
Thank you Beppe, understood about running 2x displays off the card I'm using for rendering. I'm just hoping Octane X and the new Mac Pro will be out before I have to add any new hardware to this setup though. I've set Priority to Low, thank you for the pointer.

Re: Which Nvidia driver/CUDA version for OSX?
Are you using GTX 1080 Ti also for monitor?
Please go to Apple menu, About this Mac , then press the System Report button, then go to menu File/Save, and share the resulting .spx file, thanks.
Please, also share a screenshot of c4doctane Settings/Devices, and Others panels, thanks.
ciao Beppe ...

Re: Which Nvidia driver/CUDA version for OSX?
Thank you Beppe, that's what I have and I do have Synchronize on geo update disabled.
I get beachballs all the time in Octane and C4D, it's really unstable for me. Running a GTX1080ti in a 5,1. Never been able to figure out what's causing the instability. Redshift and Cycles4D in GPU mode are both ...

Hi,
every High Sierra users are using CUDA 410.130 driver with no issues, probably there is something different that is blocking your mac with High Sierra.
Have you tried to install a fresh version of High Sierra, maybe on an external hdd, with 410.130 CUDA drivers, and the GPU driver version that ...
