Re: RTX 3080 Ti and v4
Is Octane V4.05 not compatible with any RTX card, including the 2080 ti, or is it just the 30xx series?

"Use Denoised Beauty Pass" Gone in version 2020.2
Sorry if this has been mentioned but I could find it anywhere. I just upgraded to V2020 from V4 and it seems the "Use Denoised Beauty Pass" button has been removed. I can save the beauty by saving an extra render pass but what changed with V2020? Is there a new way to save the denoised as the main ...

Creating an HDR and difference in light
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could give me insight into why this happens. I built a scene I've been using to render but because it is inside it renders pretty slow. I decided to baked an HDR to speed things up and here are the results. C4D R21 and Octane version 4.05R7

ok, so 10 blends is a design choice? Is there anyway to increase it in a future update?

Re: Blend Material limited to 10?
Does anyone else have this same issue? Is it just a built in limit to the blend material?

Blend Material limited to 10?
Hi,
I am working on a pretty involved masking project that uses the blend material to isolate different colors based on an image mask. I have found that when I reach the 11th mask (Material 12) and put an image into it, then the first masked color (Material 2) will disappear. You can see this in ...

Main output ignores profile if render passes is enabled
I've been outputting my main image with a color profile of Adobe RGB (1998) loaded into the save settings. Everything works correctly and looks correct on export until I turn on Render Passes. When Render Passes is turned on the color profile I have loaded is ignored (seems to be reverting back to ...

Re: Two different materials controlled by the same node
Ah, yes that does seem to work.
Only issues I am having now is that when I move the color slider (C4D color not rgb octane color) both materials update after the first move but then if you move it again the second material stops updating. Does the same happen with you?

Two different materials controlled by the same node
Quick question, is it possible to setup a metallic material and a diffused material such that they are both controlled by the same color node? I'd like to setup some materials where the same color node is controlling the diffuse color and the specular of different materials to change them at the ...
