Hi,
Same issue as the one encountered by Smicha (error loading).
I thought it was due to files put in C:/ProgramData/SketchUp/SketchUp 2015/SketchUp/Plugins/... and not in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins... so I tried to copy files, but same error.
Any Idea ...

Re: I can't Open Project File Again.
Dear all,
I also encountered similar errors some times.
I'm not sure, but I think it was when SU materials are configured into Octane, then in a later SU session, deleted from SU model and purged without rendering the model within Octane.
Then when I try to open the SU file again later, Octane ...

Re: Good OBJ trees?

Re: Good OBJ trees?
Hi,
When very detailed plants needed, I used Xfrog plants sometimes.
You can download some free samples to make tests.
They look very good and are delivered with obj files.
The limit is the price... and the size make them unusable within SU (so its ok to keep them as proxy with Octane)

Re: artifact with integrated plugin and not standalone
Hi Resmas,
You got it. Thanks.
Still a complete mistery for me of how it works... but it solve this issue.
I need to make more tests on how this may affect rendering if different values used for other parts of the model (things I do often).

Re: artifact with integrated plugin and not standalone
I tried to change "soften edges" within SU, checking and unchecking soften coplanar face, but got no change in Octane result.
The artifact appears on a plane surface within SU.
I suspect this to be linked to the way Octane triangulate surfaces...

Re: artifact with integrated plugin and not standalone
Thanks for help,
I will try as soon as I can (not at home now).
But looks a little bit strange to me, cause does it mean that each component keeps its own "soft angle" values ? I thought that it was just interactive feature to soften edges, but that the egdes were keeping only true/false soft value ...

Re: Rendering from a ruby script ?
Hi,
Great news if it will be possible in future releases.
I did not practice with LuaScript but yes it could be any already existing octane interface language (wa can learn), as long as we could call it from Ruby SU script.

Re: Sections?
HiIs there a 'smarter' way of doing this?
Did not use them but it should exists some plugins to do it :
Heard about "Skalp" and "SectionCutFace".
Have a look in Sketchucation Plugins Forum.
