Re: Cinema 4D version 2018.1-RC1 (Test version)
Hey, very excited for this update!
Testing the volumetrics and can't seem to see any difference from v4 whether or not the "emulate old volume behaviour" button is ticked. ( I assume this is the correct button)
I replied that legacy volumes don't seem to be less noisy but that new ones do, but I ...

TubulenceFD Volumes and transforms don't work
Hi there,
So I have a project where my TurbulenceFD container follows the emitter particles as they fly through the scene, which works great because then I can have much higher resolution than if I just made a huge volume to accomodate the whole animation.
The problem is, Octane apparently does not ...

Re: Post effects baked into Beauty in Octane 3
Yeah that's what I have been doing. Thank you for looking into it!For now, as a workaround, save your rendering with the Post effect disabled, then made a second one of just few sampling just for the Post effect pass

Re: Post effects baked into Beauty in Octane 3
Yes, both the beauty pass and the RGBA pass that Cinema saves now have the post FX baked into the render.

Post effects baked into Beauty in Octane 3
In Octane 2, when I would check the "post" render pass, the post FX would be removed from the beauty pass, enabling it to be easily composited back together with full control over the post pass itself.
Now in Octane 3, checking the post render pass saves the post fx out, but also leaves it baked ...

Re: Any Idea where my Render Pass tab has gone?
Actually, the only problem with this is sometimes I cannot get the info to show up on the bottom of the Live Viewer. Like the scene I was using that worked yesterday now will not show the info down there today, so I cannot click the different buttons to see the different passes.
