Thanks for the clarification about versions and release in the previous thread.
I'd like to know what's the best practice to update Octane and Octane for 3DS max for each new release : do we just install on top of the previous release or do we do a clean uninstall and install each ...

Just to be sure...
When it is said that bugs found in Octane 4.0 and 3DS max plug-in 6.10 will be fixed in the "next version", does that mean that all 4.0 6.10 owners will get it or only people having subscribed to the all-access monthly payment ?

If someone cancels his All Access Pass, what version of Octane 4 can he still use : the last update he got while being on subscription or does it revert back to Octane 4.0 ?

Just to be sure I understand fully what's about to happen regarding licenses :
Like many around here, as I have an Octane 2 SA license + 1 plugin that I upgraded to an Octane 3 SA license + 1 plugin, I'll get the Octane 4 entreprise license, but does that mean I'll have to pay a 200€/month ...

I'm sorry to ask such a question but as I'm not aware of the possibilites OSL allows us to have, is it possible to add UDIM support in the 3DS max plug-in for Octane Render now through OSL ?

Alright, I tried one last thing : safe mode. And it worked. I guess it is some weird software incompatibility on my computer that was preventing any install and that particular software isn't launched at startup in safe mode. Strange thing is that the Octane Render plugin for max is the only ...

Currently Octane Engine is just an additional option in 3.0 alpha of 3ds Max plugin, you are not forced to use it. You can just ignore it and work as usual - using local GPUs and locally activated plugin/standalone licenses, if you don't have a use case for it.
