Hi Goldorak, when does Otoy expect to release this plugin to All-Access subscribers? First quarter 2019 still? Thank you.

Re: OctaneRender 4 / All Access -Update FAQ

Thanks Goldorak. Will any plugins be "All Access" - only, or will they all be offered separately as well (i.e. the way licenses for plugins are offered now)? I bought All Access today, but was curious.

What about the public beta announced for q4 2018 ?
It's still closed testing for now. We want to make sure we get V4 launched first and move to Octane 2018|2019 asap before we widen the testing pool.
Thanks Goldorak, looking forward to the public beta.

Excellent. Will any invites to the public beta be available to current Octane license holders in the general public (I'd like one!)?

Re: Octane for unreal engine discarded ?

Someone on the Unreal forums has produced a crude, but working, example of what GPU-accelerated Lightmass would look like:

I've tried it, and it's several times faster for a similar level of quality ...

Re: Octane v3 baked maps & UE4

There's no 1:1 way to get material results from UE due to the way their materials are constructed and then compiled into HLSL - the only answer is to get results from the GPU...Great for archvis, maybe not so great for a swamp monster's skin. I'll post a video soon and you'll get an idea of what it ...

Re: Unity and Octane 3?

I'm definitely looking forward to the UE4 plugin, it would be a huge time saver for working with lighting. Is it still intended to eventually replace Lightmass? I'll be interested to see how much VRAM is recommended, and the plugin price.

Looks good so far--I tested the Windows app. If it works the way that you describe, I'd definitely use it. Keep us posted please.
