Re: Revit Octane adding model from (other) Stand-Alone project
Hi Paul,
Let me check on that & get back/thx!
In the meantime, I tried using an imported sketchup tree. it exported perfectly and in fact, Octane Stand-Alone even knew it's leaves were a different material from the branches and so forth. Perfect!
THX,
Geof

Re: Revit Octane adding model from (other) Stand-Alone project
so that was really weird. After re-opening the Revit file & trying again several times, it finally cleared... :?: :?: (I believe I had to manually re-focus the camera, tho, can't remember)
...oh nooo, it's BAAAAACK!! After it had cleared, I exported to OCS and opened it up in Stand-Alone. No ...

Octane is adding the model from (other) Stand-Alone project into my (different project) Revit Octane Viewport. The model itself is not related to the current Revit file I have open. The camera was out of focus, maybe trying to figure out which model to look at or maybe getting info from ...

Re: HOW DO YOU IMPORT .OBJ
Thanks, MB. That's not the case so far as I can tell. But it's hard to tell what's going on with the 3ds Max plugin either. So far as I'm concerned, both the 3ds Max Plugin and Stand-Alone are a mess. I hate to say it, because the software has so much promise. But so much doesn't work with Octane ...

Re: HOW DO YOU IMPORT .OBJ
Thanks Paul,
Last place I'd look. here's my current problem. I model in Revit (and have that plugin), but thought I'd get better sharpness, etc. out of 3ds Max plugin, so I got that. But I couldn't figure out how to get the Octane Sky System. So I was fooling around with the Stand-Alone and that ...
