We can't use any new engine version: 2019.1.5 or 2020.1-XB3 with 3ds max 2016 (sp4), Windows 7 64bit, RTX 2070 Super. Everything works fine with 2019.1.1 ...

Procedural old painted metal
I saw a few tutorials for C4D and wanted to try to make something similar (a fully procedural material) in 3ds Max, using only the Octane Dirt, Gradient and Noise.
Added a small video to show how it looks in action:

Re: Simple test scene
(Ładniutkie) Really nice effect
Leather looks perfect.
I see little noise on the windows glass. If you use small light emitters, try to use really high sample rate (10 000 or 100 000), for me, in AO mode, it works.

Re: Apartment Interior, stills and panoramas
Don't get me wrong. Render time was a priority.
Try to render 10K image with PT or PMC kernel, when you have a dozen small ceiling lights, several inside the crystal chandeliers, without noise, in a finite time :)
When you use DL kernel, you can work in real time, rendering isn't really physically ...

Re: Apartament Interior, stills and panoramas
DL settings:

Render time: one hour for the 5K image, three for the 10K panorama.
The sampling rate for all small lights - 100 000. It seems little crazy, but it works
