Hi,
Netrendering doesn't work due to the fact that the version numbers are different.
I tried the newest C4D Plugin and the version number is 3060003 but i need
3060005 which is the corresponding "Octane Render number".
Where can i find the right C4D plugin?
Cheers
pete

Re: network render
That's what i'm gonna do to solve this problem. Thanks man.atome451 wrote:I'm not a network user but i've read on the forum the versions of plugin and standalone need to be exactly the same. Then you should use 3.04.5 version for the standalone nodes too. Or go back to the 3.04.4 for the plugin.

Re: Displacement with X-particle skinner doesn't work?
Hi aoktar,
yes and that's why displacement won't work, because x-particles skinner don't allow any UV-map to generate.
You have to bake every frame to become a mesh with UV mapping data . Maybe i'm wrong but i think that's it
with displacement on x-particles except you bake the whole animation ...

Displacement with X-particle skinner doesn't work?
Hi guys,
I'm going to build up an Ice shader and i need the displacement, but displacement with X-particle skinner doesn't work?
In my example file which is attached i took a normal Sphere and a ice mesh animation with a Skinner node from x-particles.
The same shader works with the sphere but won ...

Re: Sharp edges with area light?
Hi kerryoo ,
thanks for your feedback. I don't want sharp shadows. I meant sharp light "edges".
I'm going to upload a picture for more clarity,
Cheers

Sharp edges with area light?
Hi guys,
i try to achieve sharp edges with the area light but i can't figure it out.
I always got soft edges. Blown out in the middle and fade out into soft corners.
I need an evenly illuminated light like if you project an (for example) green rectangle
onto a flat plane. That's what i'm looking ...

Re: invalid version
I tried the newest latest downloaded C4D Version, which was the same before and it doesn't work.
The same thing "Invalid version". Maybe R18 is not compatible wit the latest version of octane?
Any idea??
Please help. Thanks in advance
