Re: Octane blurry on 4k display (while C4D is sharp)

Thanks but why don't try my advice. It's not a bug for me just an unsupported feature.

Because then my whole system has unreadable tiny fonts, icons, ... then. Of course I could make C4D usable with your workaround of adjusting fonts, icons, ...
But C4D is not the only program in my workflow ...

Re: Octane blurry on 4k display (while C4D is sharp)

Is there any possibility for someone from the Octane team to get in contact with Maxon regarding this issue?
Octane is a rather big plugin in the C4D scene, it's a shame that such a bug exists in 2020.

I guess there is something Maxon / our devs are overlooking regarding that Redshift, Corona ...

Re: OctaneRender™ 2019 for Blender® 2.8 - new free tier!

Anyone else has the problem of Octane Daylight Environment making the scene contrast corrupt? With emmisive lights it looks fine.

Make sure you turn off "Filmic", it doesn't really work with Octane.
Other people (and Devs!?) might tell you to set the Display Device to "None" in the Color ...

Re: Standalone much faster than plugin? (~15ms/s difference)

Thanks a lot for your quick reply face_off! :)

Sadly I don't have a seperate card to my GTX 770 yet and I also don't have a CPU with integrated graphics I could use for that.
Must be the Modo's OpenGL Viewport then, which would make totally sense now as you mentioned it.
I set the render priority ...

Standalone much faster than plugin? (~15ms/s difference)

Hey everyone!

Sorry that a new user is already asking so many questions but I guess that's how it goes, haha.
Let me know if it would be better to create one single huge topic instead of multiple ones through the week. :)

I have a GTX 770 2GB build into my PC (upgrading soon) and noticed quite a ...

Re: Modo 901 crashes when pressing "Create Octane Emitter"

Oh, nevermind!

I tried it after a fresh restart and I just had to start the plugin once before pressing the button so everything is loaded into Modo.

Modo 901 crashes when pressing "Create Octane Emitter"

Hey!

Just got into Octane and everytime I'm pressing "Create Octane Emitter" with a light Modo instantly crashes.
Any idea why this keeps happening?

Thanks! :)

Any major differences between Octane for C4D and MODO?

Hey everyone!

I wondered if there are any major differences between Octane for Cinema4D and Modo?
The usage would mainly be for still images.

I'm asking as I'm a huge fan of modelling in Modo, but Modo often seems to be "a bit behind" in basically everything, haha. So unsure if there are any "nice ...
