Hi guys i was wondering if anyone could post some examples of mesh and area lighting and some good samples of what can be achieved with it. I took a look around on the net but i was getting pretty random results and was hoping some of you guys have some nice references.

Yeah someone posted how to do that, there's a reposition button, click that then click in the render view where you want to set the camera pivot

Nero i just checked the plug-ins directory it is that exporter, i cant really test those scenes out as my net is slow here (dongle internet) and it would take up to much of my time. I suggest you try simpler scene files first. I only ever really use sketchup for quick and rough blockouts and layouts ...

Also, wow those samples are pretty sophisticated, i was only exporting some white block models

But yes i experience the same issue in Octane and other 3D apps from time to time. Usually the 3D application sets the camera pivot on the selected object, group, vertex or poly. Im not sure how Octane handles it, also im very ...

in the meantime i used a free obj exporter for sketchup and it works good. Admittedly i went through Maya first to check
