Hi, Is there any way to grab the density of a volume in a volume gradient to map the direction of scattering phase ?
I'd like to have high phase direction in low density part and 0 in hight density part ?
Any trick ?

vdb from camera does'nt render correctly
Hi, I'm trying to render a vdb created from the camera frustrum. Octane render it but it is not in the right place.
you can see the attached image file, I can't upload the hiplc file. vdb from cam debug.jpg
If I resample the vdb, everything goes fine, but I don't want to, I just want to keep the ...

Re: daylight animation
That exactly what I did. And it work indeed, but I don't know why, sometimes It does'nt want to set my key. I'll try to investigate and notice you if I can reproduce it.
Thank anyway.

Re: merge volume
No need for debug scene. I was indeed merging volumes without grouping them before.
Thank for the tip.
After creating a primitive group for each volume, octane can render the merge properly.
cheers

Hi, When I try to merge 2 vdb's, octane only render the first one.
It work in mantra or Redshift but not octane. Is it a bug ?
I cannot combine them using a vdb combine cause i need them to have differents resolution.
Any help ?

good to read that.
Do you think we also will have attributes mapping available in this build ?

Hi, I cant find any transmition parameters in the new universal shader.
There is somme in the standalone version. Did I miss something ?

texturing volume medium
Hello,
I tried to connect some procedural noise to the scattering input of a volumetric medium and it seem to does'nt work.
I can connect it, but no matter what i change, I don't see the texture.
How can I achieve it ?

Hi,
Is there any way to combine 2 volumetric shaders to use both reflective and transmitive phase ?
Or simply have a shader with 2 phases and a blend factor.
I do this trick in our render engine at work to have better volumetric cloud rendering, and it's really imortant for rendering high ...
