Thanks Mitchino :)
>>I'm sure this is stating the bleeding obvious, but your Octane material needs to be pink
Lol. Yellow it is. The pink gums material I forgot to change to yellow :)
Ill try the falloff node. Haven't tried it before, and I'll reduce the dimpled effect of the bump.
But really, I'd ...

Help! please. Recreating C4d's "Gums" material in Octane.
Hi all,
I really tried my best before posting. So I'm asking for help if someone could let me know how to get the "Gums" material look I want in Octane.
The material that looks nice is the pink "Gums" in the render below. It's a default material in Cinema 4D --->Load Material --->Visualize ...

Re: Request: Side by side inverted stereo output
I also vote for an over/under (also called top/bottom) stereo format.
This makes it easier for Youtube production as well as is a standard of sorts when editing in Premier and After effects.
Regards.

Multiple instances of C4d/Octane on single GPU
Ok this a noob question, and even while typing, I'm thinking twice about asking... but fwiw;
- will there be any benefit, whatsoever, in running multiple instances of Cinema 4D (and octane) on the same Laptop Asus Rog (config Win 8, 24 GB ram , Nvidi 980M (4gb ram) )
Or am I just going to be ...

That does look good. I remember browsing the Live DB earlier, maybe time to take a look at the materials again. Thanks for the tip.
Meanwhile, here's the disgusting material, I came up with

still hoping for that SSS effect of the first image.

SSS in octane (for blood vessels) is going to kill me. Help?
I have to start with a disclaimer. I'm only now learning Cinema4D and Octane.
Previously used the free octane VR with Poser and fell in love with it.
I've followed a tutorial on creating a blood vessel here: http://monovfx.com/tutorials/blood-cells-flow-tutorial/

Re: Can I render animation via Octane Live Viewer?
Aoktar, :)
You beat me to it. Thanks for the logical answer.
I'm typing this, even as the render is going on now. Yes it was the Metaball subdivision count . It was set to 5 (for the render) and in the editor I was working at 40.
Set it 40 now , with no degradation in quality on output.

Re: Can I render animation via Octane Live Viewer?
Ok some further digging and I think I may have found the culprit..
Metaball within a cloner.
I have a plane about 10 segments made into a metaball.
This is dropped into a cloner for radial clones totaling 24.
This is what seems to be killing the main Octane Render and making it spit out black ...
