When I start C4D and then Octane from the menu, you can see in to bottom left area, that Ocaten tries to activate the PlugIn (OctanePlugIn activation...). This takes some time and results in an error message "ERROR: Resolving timed out after 8001 milleseconds res:3" (see screenshot).

I really need to use GI_DIFFUSE but I can not get it to light things behind glas. I have a bunch of showcases that contain objects that need to get light. This does all work great with the other GI_modes but not with GI_DIFFUSE. I hope the following images are more or less self explaining ...
