Thanks, but that's not what I'm trying to do. I want to control the spline itself with vertex map on the spline:
And then render the spline via the octane object using "render as spline (hair)" and then control eg opacity or color via the vertex map.

vertex maps for splines?
I would like to drive eg opacity of a spline rendered as hair via a vertex map, is this possible?
The scene gets too heavy if i have to sweep the splines to create real geometry.

Actually as soon as I add a vdb file the render doesn't even update. It either goes black or doesn't respond to moving the camera unless I disable the volume again.

Hi when I add volumes with vdb they don't show up? I have a M1 Max MacBook Pro. Running R25 via rosetta.

Octane X Studio PR7 Stand Alone works fine on my MacBook Air M1, but not the Cinema 4D plugin.

Hi I've installed PR7 Studio plugin on my M1 Mac, and Cinema now just crashes. I've enabled the app to run via Rosetta, and I've allowed apps to run from "anywhere". I have even disabled SIP (system integrity protection). I have deleted the other lib files which are not for r23. I've placed the ...
