one could say it has so few users beacause of the bad user experience. wy bother with the plugin when the standalone is way more easy to use?

I bought in 2016? a octane license with the archicad plugin. i really liked it and now i bought this winter the perpetual license. i was excited to see the new stuff since the archicad plugin UI allways felt klunky and gave me a way worse experience then octane standalone.

im asking beacause i set up my camera position in archicad to a picture my render has to fit in and when i open my scene in the standalone, i cant get to that position =(

the manual states:

You can copy an ArchiCAD Object which is a proxy host into the ArchiCAD clipboard, and paste that Object into another ...

lol, i also didn't got this. i saved the modell as obj and importet that in to the standalone engine. the results where.... unsatisfying...

upgrading the plugin did the trick

When i export the file as sektchupfile to sketchup , no error message will show up and it the proxy object will not be shown in the viewport.
when i export the file as 3ds to sketchup, my dear friend is back...

needless to say that this is not the material name in archicad nor in sketchup...
