Hi there i would like to know if anyone knows if the current version of octane for maya supports particle primitive rendering ? i know you can use the particle instancer to render particles, however it read somewhere that the octane primitives was much more efficient to render.
the sphere primitive is still broken. Octane render can import and render particles just fine, but their SIZE is still locked by a radius of 1.
please fix the size issue and i will love you guys
btw, i still enjoy the new features V3 has to offer, you guys do a great job
please remember to fix the constant size of sphere primitives next time. i can finally import and render them but their size is constant, regardless how much i change the size of my particle shapes inside maya
have an nice day
thank you so much for the new release :) and thank you for fixing the sphere primitive bug :)
i hate to say this but, there´s a new bug with the sphere primitives. it seems like the size of sphere primitives are somewhat fixed, even if i have different sizes of particle shapes inside maya. I haven ...
cool thanks for the new bug fixes :) but there´s still the sphere primitive bug. every time i try to load alembic files with particle shapes octane render crashes. I would really like to know if you guys are aware of this issue or that you are working on it. i have been waiting for this feature for ...
Hi since the particle primitive has been added to octane render, i have not been able to render at all. if i go forward a few frames on my animation it just stops and crashes
i had hoped this bug was fixed now but no. the other weird thing is a few days ago i actually got it working. the only way ...
So..
now that it has been confirmed that the current build of octane render 3 adds sphere primitive for particle rendering, i was wondering if anyone knows how to use it ?
i read that it didn´t support alembic import, does this mean we have to wait until next build to be able to import particles ?
Hi correct me if i am wrong but i think i read somewhere that octane render 3 will support particle rendering, or more specific point cloud rendering. i have not been able to find any new info about this and i often check the new beta versions if there are anything new features.
