These parameters only work if the object doesn't have a "width" attribute. This attribute always overrides any other hair thickness parameter configured at the OBJ level.
Thanks,

OK, that makes sense. I see its created by the hairgen node where it can be changed or deleted, but its then ...

Hair thickness not working?
The thickness sliders seems to do nothing in the object Params. Hair is always super thin. H18, 2020.1.4

Octane textures not visible in viewports
How can I view textures in the OGL views when an Octane material is assigned to objects? They don't show in the viewports which is making UV editing and texture positioning a pain. I'm currently having to keep switching between a principled shader and the octane shader because Octane IPR is not ...

Animating a gradient doesn't work?
Animating a knot in a gradient shader works fine in a cinema material but not in the octane node editor. Keyframes can be set for the knot position but it doesn't update over time. I realise Cinema gradients have to be auto baked, so is there a setting to enable this?

Re: Straight Alpha problem in PV
Hi Beppe. That is already disabled - its right next to the Alpha Channel button, not easy to missbepeg4d wrote:Hi,
what about the Keep Environment option in Kernel settings?
If enabled, try to disable it.
ciao Beppe

If its not something obvious like that, its seems like this could be a real problem.

Re: Straight Alpha problem in PV
Thought for a moment I found a solution with 'Disable partial alpha', which fixes the background brightness being added to the edges, but it no longer stores the edge transparency in the alpha channel.
