Adjusting the focal length of any camera created in octane 2024, using octane 2025, causes the Aperture value in the octane camera tag to change. This breaks all DOF settings on any project older than a few weeks.

Yes, most of our projects are 10x smaller than default with project scale set to 1mm
Another note while doing more testing: If you create a projection node in the noise, it will render correctly. So that's a work-around, too for now, then you can keep the Geometry control at "Auto Detect" if ...

Hey Mash, I found the issue: In the Octane Render Settings the parameter "Geometry Control" is set to "Auto Detect".
If you revert this to the default "All Objects Movable" it looks correct again. Obviously should not happen.

Hey yeah we can look into it if we can stop c4d from rounding it up. In the meantime you can just go into the noise itself and just increase the power of the noise to like 0.6 while keeping the bump height at 0.00002

With some help we identified the issue: Your material is using a 2022.1 compatibility mode. But this issue was fixed after 2022.
So you need to remove that and set it back to the current version in the Materials basic tab, and then use the bump height slider to adjust your bump scale.
