Re: Viewport feedback via Octane for Poser

Thanks for the feedback, Paul.
I'm just a shader beginner so I'm going to do some research and reading on material conversion rules.
My impression (reading RuntimeDNA forums) is Poser Superfly is still in new launch mode with unsettled dust and minor bugs, so that will take a while.

Correct me if ...

Viewport feedback via Octane for Poser

One of the few reasons why I took the plunge and bought into Octane for Poser is the usual:
render speed, soft dynamics & hair strand recognition, general shader translation, Face_Off's solid cred etc :)

Re: OctaneRender® for Poser (Windows/OSX) 2.25 [STABLE]

Hi Paul

O4P is rendering the default face control props (new rig feature of P11 characters Pauline and Paul)
Properties: they are set as preview-visible but not rendering visible by default
By default these props will get highlighted as cursor hover over face parts for direct on-mesh animation ...

Re: OctaneRender® for Poser (Windows/OSX) 2.24.2 [STABLE]

Hi there
I just signed up for Octane for Poser a few days ago
Mostly smooth sailing (familiarity with Octane via Carrara helps a bit)

A few non-fatal bugs identified (2.24 latest)

Set up a custom Localdb at (non-system) content drive today
Octane standalone remembers Localdb location, reads and ...

Re: OctaneRender for Carrara 2.24.0081 [RC-1]

Howdy fellow Sighman and fellow OR4C Carrarists

I've been away for a while, but my CG movie passion still burning bright...

Just want to say this to anyone wondering if this plugin is worth it given Carrara uncertain state of development

I've done my research before jumping on the Carrara+Octane ...

Re: OctaneRender for Carrara 2.23.0074 [Preview]

Medium scale scene has - basic cam/light, primitive plane. primitive icosahedron. Particle emitter, set to object, with icosahedron added.
Scene is otherwise simulating particle emission normally ...
