Something I'm missing is an image defined camera. Basically an RGB image that defines the ray vectors per pixel (with the differential determined by the adjacent pixels). This would allow us to define our own camera distortion or projection. Could even use it for baking to a UV map.

So, after seeing that you will be implementing a render for Nuke, I was wondering if Eyeon Fusion had been on your radar for possible support. I'm not sure if it will be super popular.
