Custom AOV not showing in After Effects rgb > RGB
Hello,
My custom AOV's for decals are showing up in the live viewer but not in AE. I cou;dn't figure out why they didnt appear. But after more research I'm thinking it maybe has to do with rendering to Octane EXR maybe?
Because when I put an EXtractoR effect on the layer. And change the R G B to ...

@frankmci
I like long answers haha! Is there a way to see in which version you made an Octane material/scene?

You are right guys! Specular Map is set to 0 in all my materials which have metallic sub materials. Is this somehow forced to 0 by an update?
Anyways, thank you guys for taking a look at it. It was driving me nuts

Re: Cinema4D version 2024.1-[R3] latest stable (11.10.2024)
I just opened a scene which I made a month ago. And suddenly my Octane Composite Material Metallic looks completely different (HELP).
This is how the metallic material is supposed to look:

Feature Request: Proxies (just like a Redshift Proxy)
I would love to see a feature equivalent to Redshift Proxy implemented in Octane for C4D. From what I understand, this would first need to be developed in Octane Standalone before being available in the C4D plugin, which is why I’m making this feature request.

Re: Request: Proxys
*BUMP*
Still no proxies right? Would be so amazing to have something like the Red Shift Proxies. Especially when working in a team. If a product shader or model needs changes, export and overwrite the proxy, and it is changed in every scene which has a link to the proxy.

Re: Very slow material node Composite Texture icw TriPlanar
Thanks for taking a look Aoktar! Any ideas what might be causing this? It seems to go wrong once piped into TriPlanar.
I have no clue of course what could be causing it. But maybe it's calculating it for all 6 tri planar channels? While it should only calculate the X channel when 'single texture ...

Very slow material node Composite Texture icw TriPlanar
Hi,
I experience very slow nodes in a material when I use composite texture in combination with triplanar. I'v included a zipped C4D file in the attachment.
If you would place a new RGB Spectrum node in the material, and after that delete it. I experience a lag of 12 seconds (sometimes shorter ...
