Re: OctaneRender for Carrara 2.24.0081 [RC-1]
The problem is that is it worth buying this plugin considering the dark future of Carrara? Is it better to rather invest in the plugin for DAZ Studio as this program will certainly continue to be developed by DAZ? Nevertheless you have done an excellent job for Carrara. In these conditions, it is ...

Re: OctaneRender for DAZ Studio 2.24.2 [TEST]
Hi to Faceoff, Thank you for taking over development of this plugin.
Great, and regular progress, now seems to be being made on the OCDS plugin now that it has a new developer. I have been holding off from buying , but seeing the recent posts regarding bug fixes etc, my confidence in the plugins ...

Re: Hair & Fur
What about DCG's Anything Grows hair plugin, would hair generated in that be exportable to Octane..
Maybe worth a hookup with Eric to see if something could be worked out.
Just a Thought.

Re: OctaneRender for Carrara 2.12.0055 [Test]
Possibly a silly question.
But if I update my Standalone version with the current 2.12 dev release, and my Carrara plugin with this new Dev release, do i have to go through the registration process, or does it just update over the top of the current installation and leave current activations in ...

Re: OcDS 1.5/2.0 PREVIEW / UPDATE
Not a problem,
I have decided to convert one of my workstations to an octane dedicated machine, so for me the point is now moot..
However this may not be the case for other users.
Looking forward to a 2.1 Final, then I shall be purchasing.!!!

Re: OcDS 1.5/2.0 PREVIEW / UPDATE
That statement seems a bit odd, as Octane and this plugin would be a direct replacement for LuxRender and Reality. Reality would do you no good with Octane, and this plugin would do no good with LuxRender, and since they would need to access the same information in different ways, there is no ...

Re: OcDS 1.5/2.0 PREVIEW / UPDATE
Crashes for me every time I try to load victoria, genesis or other figures with some morphs. The hint with "Automatic geometry updates" dosn`t work.
The problem was solved with a Reality plugin deinstallation.
I hope this gets addressed as I would really like to purchase this plugin, but if it ...

Re: Carrara problem with large scenes
Hi Spectralis,
This seems to be an issue exclusive to Carrara 8.5, as I too have encountered the EXACT same problems with howie Farkes scenes in this version of Carrara.
As a side note they work Perfectly in Carrara 8.1, so something in 8.5 is broken in relation to these scenes.
As yet I have ...
