Re: C4D version of houdini octanes 'Uber Shader'
I think a lot of it would be removing the need to use nodes for most people.
I personally love the nodes in octanec4d, and have no idea how people who use mix materials without them. That being said, I feel like the way this implements mix material methodology is very C4D like in UX.

This little guy right here,
http://lesterbanks.com/2016/08/new-prod ... ni-octane/
holy crap I want this in cinema bad. Specifically the ramp control over instance colors. Or you know, just straight up real x-particles support.

Re: Pricing according to octane cloud ...
unfortunately, nothing is clear. But I assume when it actually launches, and we can really use it, it will be.
still no date though... and we're 2 months passed the window you mentioned at GTC.

Re: Realflow C4D Crashes with Octane
its working well, unlike the actual plugin.
I've never used such an unstable 'release'. I really can't believe they shipped this to users in this state.

Re: Realflow C4D Crashes with Octane
that works, thanks!
edit: even with that, it only works at first. if you pause live viewer and then make a change, cache, and un-pause the live viewer. Crash.

Re: Realflow C4D Crashes with Octane
just tried the demo myself, after caching, building a mesh, and clicking render in the live viewer I get an immediate crash.
run the scene and then hit build mesh. See if you can get it to render.
my system is a windows 10 x99 with 4 980 ti on the most recent nvidia drivers.
