Re: Some map problems to ask for help
I think he means that when using a white colour for the lettering it appears to be a bit bolder (It's more evident in the small letters).
I would suspect it has to do with the way Octane might interpret luminance as alpha for a jpg mask?

Re: - MAX2Octane - Render script for still and animation
Take my word for it: it works like a charm!!!
Actually, you don't really need the scripts, you can export manually to Octane.
IMHO, it was the best 49 Euros I have ever spent...

Thanks kubo, it worked!!!
It seems the problem was that the scale was set to 0.0. When I changed it to 1.0 it run smoothly.

The photo I am using as reference is even darker, remember it's taken against a very bright window.

Hi everyone,
This is my first image using Octane. All I can say is that I am speechless!!!
I will keep working on it, painting UV maps and refining materials, but for the moment, after only 4 hours of playing with the program the results are amazing IMHO (the orange bench is a test). I intend to ...

Hi everyone,

I have successfully installed Octane in a directory without any spaces, and it runs just fine.
Now, I am using Max 2008, so I have downloaded the gw Obj IO pack and installed it fine, I have even moved the old obj plugins where Max can't find them ...
