Update:
Changing the frame range for the entire scene from 1-240 to 1-10 and then exporting an ORBX works.
It only seems to want to create the ORBX file if the frame range in the export dialog matches the frame range defined in the Scene tab's Start and End Frames (or animation timeline).

Re: ORBX export crashes / file not saved on successful export
Hey Lino,
I've installed the 29.17 update and attempted to export a scene of similar complexity and am running into the same issue as before.
-Scene frame range is 1-240
-I attempt to export an ORBX of 1-10 to test the scene

Re: ORBX export crashes / file not saved on successful export
Hi Lino,
I sent a private message with a link to the scene. I did eventually manage to get it to export to ORBX by changing the scene range from 1-288, then 1 to 3, then back to 1-288 in the timeline. Maybe it was just luck because it doesn't make sense why that would work.

ORBX export crashes / file not saved on successful export
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to export an ORBX from Blender and I keep running into problems.
After I begin the export I use activity monitor in Windows 10 to keep an eye on the Octane Server and it's usage hovers around 12.49% and after a few minutes the Octane Server usually crashes and Blender ...

Re: Preview Samples Continue Rendering Past Limit
Thank you! This was exactly what was happening.dmerziii wrote:I noticed if render region is active, the sample limit is negated. Maybe that was the difference for you?
Also noticed that stuz0r asked about the same thing and I hadn't bothered to search the forum before repeating the question *face palm*

Re: Mixed Capitalization / Lowercase everywhere
There is a conflation here: between what is fundamentally the integral composition of the shader (all its components, lobes, options) and UI/UX. The Universal material (and camera) are "feature-rich" and consequently resulting in what appears to be an overabundance of options. There should be ...

Re: Mixed Capitalization / Lowercase everywhere
I suggested a while ago to bring the naming conventions of Octane in line with the Blender guidelines, but it was dismissed back then because of lack of time to do it. In my addon here, I used the capitalized approach as it fits better with Blender and the other addons. Still something that should ...

Re: Mixed Capitalization / Lowercase everywhere
Got it - thanks for the reply. I must have installed the Octane Tools addon when first setting up Octane and not realized it wasn't built into Octane.

Mixed Capitalization / Lowercase everywhere
I know it's super trivial and purely aesthetic but would it be possible to standardize the capitalization of the settings and nodes? It would go a long way to making Octane feel more tightly integrated into the UI and match the formatting of all the other features, nodes, and settings throughout ...

Re: Preview Samples Continue Rendering Past Limit
Update: Now it's working correctly, I'm not sure exactly what I changed while working on the scene and ignoring the issue. It's possible Octane wanted me to switch cameras and return to the original one or something, but now it seems to respect the Max Preview Samples.
