I can see state of the art research been applied here !!!! ;)

However, are there any minimum hardware requirements like minimum gpu memory and cuda compute compatibility ?

As far as I know cudnn is not working with the old Fermi architecture cards like gtx 590 anymore.

Is octanerenderer using single precision calculations ?

if yes titan specs sound really nice :)

otherwise even a (couple of) gtx 470 would be faster than 'titan' :(

would it be possible to have vertex shader nodes for programming vertex motion like grass and trees blown by the wind etc ?

am I asking a lot Santa ? :)
