Re: Scattered geo on XP not rendering in picture viewer
I was doing a lot of scattering work and tried to use a lot of the effectors and shaders I had built for other things on the XP sim as well to unify these motion tests. Assume the internal check for updated geo doesnt take into account scatter in a way that would let it update via my setup. Above ...

Re: Scattered geo on XP not rendering in picture viewer
The real scene has in excess of 4M scattered spheres (does not necessarily have to be spheres), which is the need to instance the geo as fast as possible, and possibly have effectors as final control to have it fall off very quickly in areas to be determined, or fall into a mograph effector with ...

Scattered geo on XP not rendering in picture viewer
For speed, I am scattering spheres on the sprites set to point cloud from a very simple XP rig. Can see it, and set it up in the live viewer just great. Rendering in picture viewer/render queue, no scattered spheres show up.

Re: Over/Under Stereo very low geo limits?
Message with link to project incoming.
Seems as if maxwell powered machines dont have this issue.... Or that Im running R13....
*edit* Full reinstall of octane and standalone with current test builds appears to have fixed it? Frames are writing now so I guess thats progress!
*edit2* Ok, so top ...

Re: Over/Under Stereo very low geo limits?
I have yet to see any builds labeled stable not have issues with at least one of the VR cameras.
Updated to the version you posted, now spherical is crashing as well. Is there a version that is known to actually... work?
This is live in production because I need VR stereo. A build that is KNOWN ...

Current 2.25 stable plugin not loading in R13 *fixed*
Hey, just wanted to see if anyone else ran into any issues.
Brought my license to work on site, trying to get it running on R13 (13.016) with older 2.25 build. Tried with all .cdl64s just because, but octane tab does not load under any conditions whatsoever.
This is on W10, 5820k w/980s on 368.22 ...

Re: Octane Render and After Affects Plugin --beta
AE is receiving a core rebuild at the moment. Full overhaul.
Trying to build an Ae standalone plugin at the moment wouldn't be the best choice as they might (and dear god do I hope they do) dev a true 3D environment inside of Ae which might make it easier and better in the future.

Re: Export Cinema 4D noise shader for use with displacement
There a reason you want to use the noise from the shader in C4D? If your just looking for some roughness whats stopping you from referencing a simple image to drive noise/displacement? Most dynamic would be to reference a layered TIFF (if PSDs dont work) and pipe that in to allow quick previews when ...
