Should texture compression option on an ImageTexture node should work in this release?
To me this seems to be broken / not working as expected and documented.

Whatever option I pick: the VRAM usage after reloading the scene does not seem to change at all.

Yes sorry, both CryptoObjectNode and CryptoObjectPinName are working with Object Layer/Octane Object Tag, while CryptoMaterialPinName works with polygon selections.

I would like to use the 2020.1 R2 plugin to export projects from Cinema4D as animated ORBX via the command line to render them in Octane standalone. Unfortunately the following command always gets stuck. However, the export works via the GUI. Does the command need additional parameters?

Attached another example from a water cooled machine with 7 Titan X (Pascal) Cards that are rendering some heavy animation.

In this case only the last card reports 0 MB of memory. The machine continues to render on just fine with 6 remaining cards. And after a system reboot all seven cards are up ...

This is a pretty stable release. Especially the adaptive rendering is a really great feature!

The only issue we get is that we get "render failure detected" errors (see attached screenshot) in Team Render every few hours on our machines.
Whenever this error occurs all card are reported to have 0 ...

As said before, in my opinion, this is the old way to do network rendering, since all assets and plugin needs to be transfered in all the machines involved, a lot more errors and issues are possible, and personally I don't ever want to go back to this.

no sorry, you have misunderstood, I was talking about the differences between Octane net render, where no assets must be shared, and Team render that needs to do that.
There is any incompatibility between c4DOctane and Team render, if you set up everything correctly everything works as ...

c4d team render need that all the machines involved have all plugin installed (even QuickTime) because the entire scene and assets must to be sent to all machines.
You can use the total power of team render only in Picture Viewer /Batch.


Does this mean the C4D octane plugin does NOT support the ...
