Here I tried to hook up a simple checks mix node to modulate scattering. It's not working but being new to Octane I'm not sure if something is missing.

Hello, there is a way to drive medium density through a noise node, so that the fog scattering can be less even? Or isn't currently supported?

I think there is quite much room for optimization regarding the LV updates. I noticed that if, for example, you hide a group containing several objects (which has already been rendered previously), and then un-hide it, the geometry is recalculated again, and often that takes huge amounts of time ...
