Re: Cinema4D 3D Data Export for 360/VR Video?
I'd be curious about this as well. I haven't had any luck finding a clean way to do it. One alternative is to actually render out your graphic elements and bring them onto planes in your 3d scene so that your C4D render contains everything. Not efficient but avoids any tracking/matching issues ...

Cinema4D 3D Data Export for 360/VR Video?
Hi there - searched around but couldn't find an answer to this question:
I have a project that I am using Octane within Cinema4D to render a sequence for use in a 360 video project. My camera is moving through my scene and I am going to be adding additional motion graphic elements on top of the ...

V3 Licensing for multiple OS installations?
Here's my dilemna - I started out using Octane in conjunction with the C4D plugin on 2x GPUs and eventually upgraded to 3x GTX 780s and a Titan running on an Amfeltec GPU splitter card. Barring the occasional hiccup, this ran swimmingly under Windows 7. Now I have found myself in a position wherein ...

Re: how to make cotton material in octane c4d ?
Hi there, your post is a bit dated now so I don't know if you've moved on from this but your best bet would probably be to use the hair object/tag. The user manual has more specifics on using cinema generated hairs within Octane.

Re: AfterEffects Closed Beta Testers Wanted
AE user since v5.0 (not CS5!) who uses Octane daily with c4D and AE for final output. Very, very interested in alpha/beta testing this product! Happy to answer any questions you may have for me.
Thanks!

Re: How to utilize motion blur on a RealFlow Particle mesh?
Ah! Well that explains that! Thanks.
Also, I appreciate the recommendation for RSMB, I've used it extensively in the past but it's usually pretty hideous when applied to liquids. May give it a whirl nonetheless.

How to utilize motion blur on a RealFlow Particle mesh?
Hi all - tried searching the forums here but didn't find any relevant information.
My dilemma - I have a scene file of a coffee cup mesh (.SD animation file) being fractured by a bullet (made in C4D) as well as a liquid particle mesh (.bin sequence) out of RealFlow 2014. When I add the Octane Tag ...

Do Stage Objects work with Octane?
Or am I just doing it wrong?
Example situation - I have a project file with several animated cameras and a Stage Object keyframed from camera to camera so that I don't have to setup several different render sequences. However, my renders only seem to reflect the positioning of the first camera ...

Re: PCIe "Splitter" vs. Ext. GPU Enclosure vs. +1 PC for GPUs?
Following up after my post about obtaining the PCI-E Extender cable. I was successful in booting my system with a GTX 680 attached to said cable and Octane interfaced normally with it. I haven't yet had the opportunity to use it in conjunction with my Titan and GTX 780 ti but I will do so soon and ...
