Yes, I applied for that just now too.

In any other software it is possible. In order to test and see if it's possible, I did it in Redshift and it works, I saw that it's possible in Blender with Cycles and even in Modo too.

This is a very powerful option that is sorely needed.

You can already drive vertex displacement by regular Sdf objects using field texture node with gradient. Unfortunately there is bug in c4d Octane while using mesh to sdf which doesn't fully works.

Hi all,

I have a question and would like to see if it's possible someone help me.

It is possible to get this caustic or similar to that using the Octane Render?

I did some research and saw some people were able to solve this in the Mental Ray or Vray.
