Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v1.0 beta 2.57[NEW/CURRENT]

Any news about a demo version of Octane for Max (was promised for January)? We would like to give it a try in our office to see how it´s integrated before thinking about buying some licences.

Thanks ;)

Re: Viper Brake Caliper

Hi steveps3,
as I mentioned the model is provided by Dodge and is not created by me. They provide the whole car in this amazing level of detail with a pack of HDRs and Backplates. Will post the link if I could find it again..

Viper Brake Caliper

Hey,
here´s my latest little Octance rendering. It´s a part of the Viper model provided by Dodge. Pathtracing on a GTX 470, took 8mins in 2560x1600px. HDR Lighting.. Vignette and some color-correction done in PS.

Re: Anoher bathroom - new year competition

Looking forward to see your next update. If you add some towels and maybe a plant or flower, this will give more life to it I would say.

Greetings

Re: Anoher bathroom - new year competition

Really nice lighting and colors. Also the shaders are nearly perfect. The only thing which I don´t like is the shape of you single lever on the sink. This looks too simple and the material seems to be too thick. If you could add a more detailed model here the rendering would be even more realistic ...

Re: Playing around

Here´s another little test render with the v5 update. An old model made by a friend of mine, lit with 3 mesh emitters.

The Door

Just converted an old Vray-scene to Octane and used the new mesh emitters to create the lighting. Rendered 12mins in 1920x1080. Downsampled in PS.

Re: Playing around

Did another test today, rendered a pocket watch modelled for another project. Rendered in 2048x1024 in 8 minutes and downsampled to half size. Used Studio HDRi as environment.

Re: Playing around

Hi,
thanks for your comment. There´s nothing special about the lighting, it´s just pathtracing and daylight system.

Greetings,
